Who can apply?

ShireLiving apartments are available for rent to individuals and couples over the age of 55.

To apply to ShireLiving Maywood, Wombourne you must also have a local area connection.

To have a local connection you must currently be living, working or currently have immediate family (siblings, parents, grandparents, adult children) living in Wombourne or one of the following areas local to Wombourne in the following order of priority.

  • The parishes of Lower Penn, Trysull, Seisdon, Himley, Swindon and Perton
  • Any parish in the district of South Staffordshire
  • Any Parish in Staffordshire County Council’s administrative area

Following your initial application and before any offer for an apartment can be made you will be contacted for an assessment of your support and care needs. The assessor will also advise if you are eligible for any financial support towards your accommodation and care.
